The APRACE™ Framework

Deconstructing the Human Interaction Process

At the Social Interaction Institute, we view interaction not as a “soft skill,” but as a high-precision biological and sociological processor. To measure this, we utilize the proprietary APRACE™ Framework—a multidimensional diagnostic model that breaks down any human exchange into six measurable modules.

The Modules

  • Actor (Individual Agency): We measure the internal state of the individual. This includes cognitive presence, emotional regulation, and the System 2 energy levels required for high-stakes professional exchanges.
  • Partner (Interpersonal Attunement): Interaction is a two-way street. This module investigates the “Naturalness” of the exchange, measuring empathy, non-verbal mirroring, and the ability to read subtle signals.
  • Relation (The Trust Foundation): Based on research from Amy Edmondson and Paul Zak, we audit the “social glue” (Psychological Safety and Interactional Capital).
  • Activities (The Flow of Exchange): Inspired by Alex Pentland’s Social Physics, we analyze turn-taking patterns, interactional velocity, and organic problem-solving.
  • Context (Environmental & Digital Friction): Using Dunbar’s Number and cognitive load theories, we identify how digital tools and AI-mediation introduce “noise” and social erosion.
  • Evaluation (The Social ROI): We capture the “Interactional Wealth” created—measuring decision clarity (Beslutsskärpa) and the emotional residue left after the exchange.
